Seem to have got myself a case of runner’s knee. Went out Friday morning and was really suffering with an aching knee. Got back home and it had swollen up. I’ve had knee pain before – who hasn’t – but it’s not swollen up so much.

I’ll do walking this week and see if I can run again on Friday. The evenings are getting darker so I’m not quite so keen on cycling. I don’t have any lights on the bike anyway. Walking one of my 5k routes and trying to push along a bit with speed keeps the calories down but does little for my fitness. I won’t be able to referee until I get it sorted (it’s that painful) so that’s the priority. I’m not a member of a gym so I’ll have to find some other, low-impact exercise that I can do with as little fuss and time as possible
