Went off on the train, just me and the missus. Never been to Liverpool so was keen to see what the city had. Went straight off to the Albert Dock to see the Royal Liver Building and the famous Liver Birds.
Went to see the Anglican Cathedral. A magnificent building, started just before WWI and was only completed just after WWII. Finally finished in 1950.
A great stone building and one of the biggest of cathedrals I’ve visited. One of those “you have to see it to believe it buildings”. Trust me, it was huge. Very imposing.
There’s a big Chinatown area in Liverpool which I didn’t realise. A quite magnificent Chinese gate.
